What is the date and location of this year's prom? Saturday, April 6, 2019 UPDATE: JUNE 27, 2020

Who can attend the prom? The prom is open to any homeschooler age 14 years old (as of August 31, 2019) through 19 years old. You do not have to be a member of a co-op or homeschool group in order to attend.
Can someone who is not a homeschool student attend? Yes, as long as he or she meets the age requirement AND is invited by a homeschool student. These individuals must also adhere to all requirements of the dress code and conduct and have a parent/guardian complete the registration form. Each homeschool attendee may bring a maximum of one guest.
Is this a formal event? Yes, this is a formal event. See the "dress code" tab for dress code requirement for both girls and boys.
Will there be a photographer available? There will be photographers taking formal pictures in front of a backdrop as well as taking candid shots throughout the evening. It will be the responsibility of each teen to make sure he/she makes his/her way over to the photography area for the formal photo, if so desired. All pictures will be uploaded to either this website or the Facebook page so they will be available to everyone free of charge.
Also, the teens are welcome to take pictures with their own cameras so they can capture a lot of great memories themselves.
Please note: By purchasing a ticket and attending the dance, each attendee acknowledges that he/she may be photographed and/or videotaped for use on social networking sites, for the homeschool prom website, and/or for use by other attendees.
Is a meal provided? No. However, there will be desserts and water. No outside drinks or food may be brought to the dance.
What kind of music will be played? A various mixture of profanity-free secular music will be played by a professional DJ. All music is planned ahead of time and requests are at the discretion of the DJ. Although music is screened, please note that it is possible that something may be missed. We make every effort to have wholesome and appropriate music. We much prefer for songs to be requested to add to our playlist ahead of time.
What about public displays of affections? Public displays of affection, other than holding hands, are unacceptable. This includes, but is not limited to, sitting on laps, kissing, making out, and inappropriate dancing.
Are parents of homeschoolers allowed at the prom? Parents, other than pre-approved chaperones will not be allowed into the dance until 10:45pm, at which time help will be greatly appreciated for removal of decorations. Chaperones will be selected ahead of time and required to fill out a background check.
Do I need to have a date to attend the dance? Absolutely not! You may come with a date, with a group of friends, with one friend, with siblings, or by yourself. The important thing is that you make sure to be at the dance, because we don't want you to miss out on an amazing evening of fun! Most of the dancing that takes place will be either fast dancing or line dancing with very little time devoted to slow dancing.
Are attendees allowed to come and go as they please? No. Once an attendee leaves the prom, he/she will not be allowed to return since it is out of the control of the prom committee and chaperones as to what occurs while offsite. Everyone will be required to check in as they arrive. A prom committee member or chaperone may contact the parents of anyone leaving during the dance.
What is the policy on drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and weapons? There is a ZERO tolerance policy for any alcohol, drugs, smoking, weapons or guns of any sort. Our chaperones will escort any offenders from the dance and parents will be notified.
What if I have bought a ticket and can't come? Tickets are non-refundable.
What if I have paid for my ticket, but have not received it yet? No physical tickets will be given; however, you will receive an email confirmation from RSVPify upon completing the registration process. Each registrant's name will be entered onto a master list that will be at the entrance of the facility. Prior to admittance into the dance, each student must sign in at the registration table.
